Overview

Approximately 22 km west of Timmins — a district with over 70 million ounces of historical gold production — Carscallen Township lies along the Porcupine–Destor Fault and approximately 6 km from the Timmins West Mine (formerly Tahoe Resources, now Pan American Silver).

Project context

The map below shows the Denton Resources claims in Carscallen Township, alongside adjacent Melkior claims. Over the past decade, more than 36,000 metres of drilling has been completed on the Melkior properties.

Approach

Stargate is designed to test a qualifying anomaly using only two drill holes. If predicted structures are not intersected, the anomaly is efficiently discarded. If mineralization is encountered, follow-up drilling is used to outline a potential resource.

Stargate anomalies

The figure below shows the two Stargate anomalies identified on the Denton Property. The Stargate data provides highly specific subsurface targeting, including predicted depths of mineralized zones.

In addition, Stargate algorithms define optimal drilling vectors and angles required to intercept the target structures.
